Miracle League of Frisco Return to Play

Welcome back to Miracle League Baseball!

Our mission continues: To create positive life experiences for individuals with special needs and their families through sports. We ask parents, athletes, coaches, and volunteers to join us in returning to play responsibly by learning our new ground rules.

  • WEAR a face covering over your nose and mouth. EVERYONE must wear masks or face coverings while at the Miracle League field. At this time, no exceptions will be made.
  • Practice Social Distancing: Maintain a distance of 6 feet apart from other athletes, buddies, and volunteers.
  • Wash your hands often or use hand sanitizer. Hand sanitizer will be readily available at the field.
  • Cleaning & Disinfecting: Our staff will clean equipment after every game. Do your part by keeping your area clean and disposing of trash.
Health Monitoring: All participants going on the field (athletes, buddies, volunteers) will be given a Health Screening. This health screening will include a temperature check as well as a short questionnaire to ensure the safety of our athletes, their families, and our staff/volunteers. Please stay home if you have had contact with someone with COVID-19 OR are displaying any COVID-19 symptoms OR have engaged in high-risk-exposure activities such as large gatherings or travel within 14 days prior to your scheduled game/clinic

  • Players must provide their own Buddy who can participate on the ball field for the full session.
  • Buddies should be 12 years or older or a family member and must wear face-masks.
  • Players must provide the name of their buddy at registration.
  • ALL buddies must register online as a volunteer via our website and request the player by name.
  • Teams will check in at the 3rd base dugout for health screenings. ONLY players and their buddy should report to the check-in table.
  • Players will be assigned bats to eliminate sharing.
  • Miracle League will not provide batting helmets or ball gloves. Players may bring their own personal, clearly labeled, equipment. Do not share your equipment with anyone. We will have a limited number of foam bats available and will do our best to sanitize them between sessions, but it’s preferable if you can bring your own equipment, bats included.
  • Participants should bring their own filled water bottles. Water coolers will not be provided in the dugout. ONLY water is allowed on the field and in the dugouts.
  • Athletes and Buddies must wear face masks. No exceptions.
  • Only one group/session will be allowed on the field at a time.
  • Balls hit or thrown over a fence cannot be returned to gameplay. They should be collected by staff for sanitation.

  • No high-fives, handshakes, and hugs on the base paths after the game.
  • Please promptly leave the facility so sanitation can be completed before the next team arrives.

  • Please bring your own seating and shade. Bleachers, picnic tables and other seating will not be available around the Miracle League Field and we will not be sanitizing them between sessions.
  • Spectators are expected to maintain social distancing between family groups and wear face coverings.
  • Please stay 6 ft. back from the field fences. Please do not approach fences to talk to players during the game/clinic.

If a player, volunteer, or spectator tests positive for COVID-19 or becomes aware they have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, contact Julie Hoffman immediately at 972-880-6000 or by email at [email protected] Do not contact coaches.

To provide a fun and safe event, the Miracle League of Frisco must limit the number of players at the field for each session. We intend to have 5 sessions of 10 athletes on April 10th, 2021. Enrollment will dictate final schedule decisions. Due to limits, we cannot accept specific requests or make promises for specific assignments.

This has been a difficult time for all of our Miracle League families. We know that social distancing, face masks, and many other restrictions we have been dealing with are tough for our players to understand. While the League will do its best to make accommodations and provide the best experience possible for all of our participants, we also recognize that not everyone will be ready to return to the ball field with the guidelines we are required to uphold. You know your situation best. We depend on you to make the best decision for your family while considering others who are participating and following the guidelines set upon by the League.
